Auto Sync for Fitbit · Effective July 26, 2026
The short version
Auto Sync collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your health data moves directly from Google's Fitbit service to Apple Health, entirely on your device.
What the app does with your data
When you connect your Fitbit account, you grant Auto Sync read-only access to your weight, body fat, and sleep data through the Google Health API. The app fetches that data over an encrypted connection, converts it on your device, and saves it into Apple Health. The data is not sent anywhere else — there is no Auto Sync server, and the developer never sees it.

Auto Sync is write-only. It saves weight, body fat, and sleep into Apple Health and never requests permission to read anything from Apple Health.
What is stored on your device
- Your Google sign-in tokens, in the iOS Keychain, so the app can sync without asking you to sign in again.
- A record of which measurements have already been saved, so nothing is duplicated.
- The most recent measurement and sync time, shown on the app's status screen.
Deleting the app removes all of this from the device.
Google API Services — Limited Use
Auto Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the app's single user-facing feature — saving your Fitbit measurements into Apple Health — and is never transferred to third parties, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules one local reminder that fires only when syncing has stopped working. Notifications are generated on the device; no push tokens or personal data are sent to the developer.
Revoking access
- Disconnect Fitbit inside the app — this deletes the stored tokens.
- Revoke the app's access in your Google Account permissions.
- Remove saved measurements at any time in the Apple Health app; data already saved stays under your control there.
Children
Auto Sync is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare.
